Congratulations Helena and Gage!
My friend and neighbor Barb called me today with a request that required my talents. Her son Gage was supposed to get married at the courthouse, but he forgot the marriage license at home. The courthouse would be closed by the time he ran home to get the license. He needed to get married today because his friend was in town.
I was with my mom at the time but just finished up something we were working on. I told Barb I would do it and raced home to prepare. We decided that the beach in our neighborhood would be a good setting. I typically like a couple days to prepare for weddings, but that wasn’t an option.
I asked how I should dress. That is when I was informed that this couple was a little…different. As you can see from the photo, they were not your typical wedding couple. They were incredibly nice and grateful for the ceremony. I thought they dressed very properly for the occasion in their style.
I thought it was a wonderful ceremony. I was in awe in how stylish and beautiful Helena was. The contrast between her green hair and black makeup and dress was amazing.
This was my shortest notice wedding. It was only three hours from when Barb called me until the end of the ceremony.
